DIY Pizza!

I have started using dough from The Northern Dough Company which I have found to be the best, but there are lots of other alternatives in the chilled and frozen aisles at the supermarket. Get playful and let the kids tear off a tiny bit of dough to make a pizza for their teddies! (photos below)

Buy a jar of pizza topping or this recipe is quick and easy:

And if you don’t have time to make your own pizza, just buy it! We can’t cook from scratch every day, it is not sustainable. And don’t beat yourself up for not doing it either - I am certainly not, although I used to!

Lunchtime suggestion: Taster tray (see photos below)

Serving suggestion:
-
A large dollop of long-term thinking (don’t focus on just one meal)
- A cup of cheerful conversation (no bribery, just connection)
- A pinch of salt (how you should take all food rejection!)
- Lashings of laissez-faire (the less you micro manage, the better)

Suggested ingredients:

- Pepper, tinned pineapple, frozen peas, sweetcorn, mushrooms, ham/pepperoni, cherry tomatoes
- Mozzarella (preferably a block of it so you can grate easily or just regular kind and tear it up)
- Pre-made Pizza dough
- Passata (or jar of pizza sauce topping or tomato puree)

METHOD:
1. Prepare the dough as per packet instructions
2. Spoon on the pizza base sauce leaving enough room on the edges to form the crust.
3. Add mozzarella, then any other toppings.
4. Put in oven as per packet instructions
